#6 HTML Headings

Headings are the titles or subtitles to display in your web pages.

The heading tags are denoted by h1, h2, and up to h6. The following example helps you to understand headings.

Browsers automatically add some white space (a margin) before and after a heading.

Why Headings are Important

It is useful for search engine like google, bing etc.Search engines use the headings to index the structure and content of your web pages.

Users often skim a page by its headings. It is important to use headings to show the document structure.

<h1> headings should be used for main headings, followed by <h2> headings, then the less important <h3>, and so on.

How to make heading more bigger

You can also change the font size by applying CSS to the heading elements. With font-size property in style attribute

<h1 style="font-size:60px;">Heading 1</h1>
